Join Elana Gloger, a full-time 6th year doctoral Candidate (and part-time human), as she chats with fellow grad students about their professional and personal experiences, without taking either too seriously. Episodes consist of conversations about students' Day in the Life, Diverse Identities and Racism in Academia, and themed episodes (like, Mental Health in Grad School, fieldwork, and Finances).

About Elana:

Elana is a 6th year health psychology phd Candidate balancing academia, professionalism, and being human. In grad school, she’s learning multi-level modeling, writing concisely, and convincing herself that she is definitely going to learn r this time. in her personal time she enjoys cooking, crocheting, Reading, Writing a smutty fantasy novel, relaxing with her cohosts/cats, and running (when she can convince herself to).

As a rising 4th year, elana was lost in the noise of grad school and unsure how to meld her serious, professional self with the weird, quirky human she is inside. In summer 2020, she started to brainstorm how to connect with other students to reveal the ultimate grad school truth: none of us are alone.

In august 2020, dear grad student launched and elana officially became one of those people who started a podcast during the covid-19 quarantine.
